Kpop singer Youngwoong Lim’s ‘Love Always Runs away’ swept the ringtones and even karaoke charts.
According to the Gaon Chart on February 10, Youngwoong’s first OST, ‘Love Always Runs Away,’ topped the monthly Gaon Chart Ringtone, Coloring, and Karaoke Charts in January. In the ringtone and coloring charts, it ranked number one for 4 months in a row.
‘Love Always Runs Away‘ is the first drama OST that Youngwoong Lim participated in. It is the main theme song for the KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘Young Lady and Gentleman,’ which is currently airing. The sound of the original song, which is acoustic and simple, adds to Youngwoong’s delicate sensibility.
The song topped the music charts immediately after its release. It is still receiving steady love as it climbs to the top of various music charts and on the KPOP100 weekly chart recently announced by Billboard Korea, ranking at #10. This chart finds out the most popular Kpop songs in Korea for a week. It reflects the results of download, streaming, radio, and TV data.
Meanwhile, Kpop singer Youngwoong Lim recently won 4 awards including the OST Award, Trot Award, Main Prize Award, and Popularity Award at the Seoul Music Awards. Also, he received the ‘Adult Contemporary Music Award of the Year’ at the ‘Gaon Chart Music Awards.’
Currently, Youngwoong is preparing for his comeback with his first full-length album.
