
Kpop group TWICE ranked on the US Billboard main chart for three weeks in a row and proved their global long-run popularity. According to Billboard’s announcement on its official website on December 7 (KST), TWICE’s 3rd full-length album, ‘Formula of Love: O+T=<3,’ released on November 12, ranked on the Billboard main chart on December 11. It peaked at #26 on the Billboard 200. Previously, it ranked third on the chart on November 27 and set its own best record. Then, on the chart on December 4, it achieved the top spot for three weeks in a row, following the record at #16. Also, TWICE ranked 62nd in the ‘Artist 100,’ which ranks artists’ performances comprehensively.
With their 3rd full-length album and the title song ‘SCIENTIST,’ TWICE took 1st place in the ‘World Album’ chart.
TWICE ranked No. 1 on the World Album, No. 5 on Top Album Sales, No. 16 on the Top Current Album Sales, No. 82 on Billboard Global (excluding the US), and No. 136 on the Billboard Global chart with their third full-length album and the title song, ‘SCIENTIST.’
‘The Feels,’ the first English single released in October this year, also ranked 39th in Billboard Global (excluding the US) and 69th in Billboard Global 200 and boasted endless popularity.
‘The Feels’ became one of ‘The 50 Best Songs of 2021,’ released by Rolling Stone, a leading US music magazine, on its official website on December 6 (US time). Rolling Stone said, “This song gave off disco energy and attracted attention from the Western music market. Particularly, the chorus will be repeated all day long in the minds of listeners.”
Meanwhile, Kpop group TWICE will release its ninth single, ‘Doughnut’ in Japan on December 15. Also, they will host their first performance at KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) in Songpa-gu, Seoul, for three days from December 24 to 26.
TWICE will continue performances in five US cities, including Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, Atlanta, and New York, in February 2022.
