Kpop group SF9 member Youngbin apologized to the public after saying, “Even if I don’t get the vaccine, I won’t get COVID-19.”
Youngbin posted through their official fan community on the morning of September 28, “I apologize for causing concerns for many people who watch over me because of my remarks about the COVID-19 vaccine. I am deeply reflecting on my thoughtless remarks during a live broadcast where so many people were watching.”
“I will get the vaccine as soon as possible. Also, I promised to correct my misinformed opinions, taking care to be more careful of my words and actions in the future.”
Earlier, SF9 member Youngbin communicated with fans through Naver V Live on September 27. During that live, he said, “Some people say that it hurts if you get the vaccine, so I haven’t gotten it. Honestly, I just feel like even if I don’t get the vaccine, I won’t get COVID-19.”
Youngbin continued, “There are a lot of people around me and some acquaintances who have gotten COVID-19. Even if you get the vaccine, you can get COVID. So I’m still considering whether I should get the vaccine or not.”
Afterwards, some netizens pointed out the remarks, and the agency also deleted the contents of the broadcast.
