Girl group PIXY announced their imminent comeback by releasing their second story, ‘Bravery,’ following the first story, ‘WINGS,’ to the public.
PIXY released a video clip of ‘Fairy forest (Chapter 02. Fairy forest “Bravery”) on their official SNS account at midnight on May 14th.
The released video begins with the last scene of the first story with a heavy voice. It says, “The six fairies were tired of wandering in the dark forest. So, they decided to rest under a tree for a while. The figure of the sleeping fairies was seen. Then, a whistling sound and a witch’s whisper followed in the ear of a fairy who hasn’t fallen asleep. The witch said, “If you all move together, you can’t arrive until the red moon opens your eyes. Push one of the fairies under the moonlight. If you sacrifice it to me, I’ll give everyone a piece of wings, and you get the brightest wings.”
The fairy, tempted by the witch, is confused for a while. She hides the box containing torn wings then starts waking up the four fairies. Then she said, “Guys, the box containing the pieces of wings disappeared. She was the last with the box, how could she be asleep in peace? Did she hide the box to get the wings alone?” The fairies, conspired by the witch’s whisper, began to doubt, making the sleeping fairies as traitors.
The red-haired fairy, who couldn’t sleep, fell into temptation with the whisper of a witch and created a conflict between the rest of the fairies. It includes herself and the sleeping fairies, explaining why the fairies showed an anxious appearance in the concept videos. In addition, the reason why they gathered together was that they did not believe in the sleeping fairy. They were also talking about what to do, revealing clues one by one.
The second story ends with a sleeping fairy holding up another fairy, saying, “If she wakes up, she won’t be able to find the witch until the red moon opens her eyes. Let’s push her far down the purple cliff so she doesn’t disturb us.”
Linked to the first chapter, this story depicts the fairies’ confusion, doubts, and conflicts. Indeed, they fell into the temptation of the witch and offered the fairy some wealth, leaving room for interpretation of the story from the viewers’ perspective that will follow in the next album. We will know soon whether this will break them apart, or they will be able to escape the temptation and rely on each other to move forward.
PIXY has gone viral as a ‘stage craftsman’ after debuting with a seasoned and perfect live performance, which is not like a newbie in the music industry. They resonated with the unique concept of ‘Dark Fantasy,’ which was not in the existing music industry. PIXY, who will lead the 4th generation girl group as the ‘Next Generation Performance Queen,’ will release their first mini-album ‘Bravery’ at 6 pm on May 20th.
