JYP Entertainment’s girl group NiziU has announced its success in the new year. According to JYP, on January 7, through the ‘We Need U 2022’ project this year, NiziU promised to release a new single, hold their first concert, collaborate, perform in reality shows, and appear in music festivals.
At the end of 2021, NiziU successfully wrapped up last year’s year-end programs in Japan. They appeared on NHK’s ’72nd Red and White Song Battle,’ Japan’s representative year-end special broadcast.
NiziU, a group formed through the ‘NiziU Project,’ is a collaboration between JYP’s Jinyoung Park and Sony Music, Japan’s largest record label, in February 2019, and has enjoyed great popularity locally.
Thanks to NiziU’s success, JYP and Sony Music are also putting energy into creating boy groups. This year, the ‘Nizi Project’ season 2 audition will take place in 11 cities in Korea, Japan, and the US.
