Lizzy admits driving under the influence of alcohol. She apologizes deeply regarding the incident.
On May 19th, Celltrion Entertainment, the agency, said, “We apologize for raising confusion about the unnecessary incident involving actress Lizzy (Sooyoung Park).“
Also, the agency said, “We discovered Lizzy had been drinking and driving on the night of May 18th. This is unforgivable conduct. We will take full responsibility for creating a stir.” Regarding Lizzy, they added, “She regrets it and is reprimanding herself for it.“
The agency added, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused everyone. So, to avoid this from happening again, we will do whatever we can to control the company’s artists.“
In addition, an official at Gangnam Police Station said, “Lizzy crashed into a taxi while driving. It happens near the Yeongdong Bridge’s southern intersection in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, at 10 pm on May 18th.”
As a result, police dispatched and measured Lizzy’s blood-alcohol level. Later on, her blood alcohol screening results at the time of the crash were sufficient to have her license revoked.
There were no passengers in Lizzy’s car. Also, the driver was driving the taxi car alone. So, the Gangnam Police Station announced that they are investigating Lizzy. They will assess if there are charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
