
Kpop singer Roy Kim (28, Sangwoo Kim) finally completed his military service.
Roy Kim will be discharged from the military on December 14 after completing his military service. Roy Kim, who recently took his last vacation, will be discharged military without returning to the unit following the COVID-19 prevention protocol. There will be no special military events.
Roy Kim enlisted in the Marine Corps training group located in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, on June 15 last year. After receiving basic military training, the officers assigned him to his own squadron and continued his service in Pohang.
He became popular after winning Mnet’s ‘Superstar K4’ in 2012. He officially debuted in the music industry with ‘Bom Bom Bom’ in 2013. After that, while studying and performing as a singer, he released hit songs such as ‘Only Then,’ ‘The Hardest Part,’ and ‘Love Love Love.’
Just before enlistment last year, Kpop singer Roy Kim released ‘Linger On.’
In 2019, he was subject to a police investigation in the case regarding the spreading of pornographic material by singer Joonyoung Jung and others. But, later on, the prosecution suspended him from indictment.
