
Kpop jazz singer and songwriter Hyungjin Joo will hold a special concert with LaY. Hyungjin Joo will hold a ‘Play NuPlay’ performance at 8 pm on January 5, 2022, at KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae Live Hall in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The concert will take place with the support of the 2021 KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae Music Support Project.
LaY, a jazz duo consisting of pianist Jihee Yoon and bassist Shinwoo Lee, took the first turn. LaY will perform tracks including the title songs ‘Oreo’ and ‘Look At Me Honey’ from its recently released full-length album ‘#2.’
Along with the drum session, LaY and Hyungjin Joo will also present Stevie Wonder’s ‘Supersition,’ arranged in a jazz trio.
In addition, Hyungjin Joo will present performances of ‘Rest,’ ‘Telling A Secret,’ and carol single ‘Christmas is Christmas (Feat. Jihee Yoon)’ in collaboration with LaY. In addition, they will sing live songs by famous jazz artists such as Diana Krall and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Rumor has it that Kpop singer Hyungjin Joo and LaY provide warm winter sensibility through these songs.
