The rookie girl group Kep1er shares the joy of winning first place after its debut. Kep1er (Yujin Choi, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Chaehyun Kim, Dayeon Kim, Hikaru, Bahiyyih, Youngeun Seo, Yeseo Kang) perform the title track of their debut album ‘FIRST IMPACT’ on Mnet ‘M Countdown,’ aired on the afternoon of January 13. On this day, they took first place with ‘WA DA DA.’
Kep1er, who took first, said, “Thank you so much. We want to say thank you, and we love you to Kep1ians (fan club) who made Kepler and made it possible for us to win 1st place. Thank you for watching and loving us since Girls Planet 999. We will never let you down, and we will become singers you can be proud of.”

In fact, Kep1er is a rookie girl group composed of TOP9 members selected through Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999: Girls’ War.’
The debut album ‘First Impact’ recorded 200,000 copies immediately after its release. It topped all-genre charts in 11 major global countries on the iTunes chart, a global music streaming platform.
On the K-pop genre chart, it topped the charts in 23 countries, including the US, Japan, UK, Canada, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy.
The debut song ‘Wa DA DA‘ entered the charts of 20 countries, including ranking 3rd in the US, Japan, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, and Thailand. Also, its music video surpassed 30 million views on YouTube within six days of its release. So, Kep1er made a meaningful record, such as breaking a million views right after its debut.
