
Deockjae Kim, the current president of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, was appointed vice president of KBS.
The board of directors held a special board meeting on December 15 and approved the ‘consent to appoint a vice president’ with the consent of all directors. The KBS said, “New Vice President Kim will play a key role in restoring public trust and firmly establishing the status of national broadcasting.”
They added, “Vice President Kim has gained various experiences, including PD, executives, subsidiaries, and management of cultural foundations. He has conflict mediation skills, careful judgment, and bold driving force for crisis management and management innovation.”
Vice President Deockjae Kim joined the network in 1990 as a producer of the 17th open recruitment. He served as the head of the production division and president of KBS Art Vision. He has been working as the president of the KBS Symphony Orchestra since September.
