INFINITE’s Sunggyu tests positive for COVID-19 even after receiving the vaccination.
On June 27th, his agency Double H TNE announced that Sunggyu Kim tests positive for COVID-19.
Sunggyu Kim’s side said, “Sunggyu Kim has been getting a series of tests for COVID-19 every week to prepare for his musical ‘Gwanghwamun Love Song.'”
Currently, INFINITE’s Sunggyu Kim is asymptomatic and there are no other abnormalities in his condition.
Also, the agency said, “Sunggyu Kim will postpone all activities and follow the guidelines set by health authorities. So, all staff and employees who came into close contact will self-quarantine regardless of the test results.”
Earlier, Sunggyu Kim debuted as a member of INFINITE in 2010. He recently transferred from Woollim Entertainment to Double H TNE. He was in the midst of preparing for the musical ‘Gwanghwamun Love Song,’ which will open next month. Recently, he tests positive for COVID-19 after testing for COVID-19 every week.
So, the public is also expressing regret over INFINITE’s Sunggyu’s confirmation. Particularly, Sunggyu received the Janssen vaccine on June 10th as a reservist after his discharged from the military in January last year. Netizens are cheering for Sunggyu, who was confirmed to be positive even after two weeks of developing immunity.
