The group INFINITE is celebrating their 11th debut anniversary today, June 9th.
INFINITE made its debut in the music industry on June 9, 2010. It is with the title song ‘Come Back Again’ from their 1st mini-album ‘First Invasion.’
Their debut album, packed with singing skills, and choreography, received attention as ‘Best Idol Work Of 2021’ by Heeyeol Yoo. The music industry recognized them for their outstanding musicality even at an early age.
Looking back on INFINITE’s 11 years, we can’t miss the production team ‘SWEETUNE.’
Jaeho Han and Seungsoo Kim’s combination expressed their determination and dramatic peak with ‘BTD (Before The Dawn). This is where the full-pledge ‘Obsession’ narrative began. In addition, their ‘Scorpion Dance’ is considered a legendary performance, bringing INFINITE to the ranks of ‘popular boy groups.’
INFINITE had been singing about their obsession with their loved ones. They topped the music lists for the first time with the title track ‘Be Mine’ from the album ‘Over The Top.’
Since then, they appeared on broadcasting stations with their first repackage title track ‘Paradise,’ making them the ‘Obsession idol.’ They are showing the essence of an idol who has grown only with music and performance.
Following this momentum, INFINITE continued its hit streak by dominating music charts with every song they released. It includes ‘The Chaser,’ ‘Man In Love,’ ‘Destiny,’ ‘Last Romeo,’ ‘Back,’ ‘The Eye,’ and ‘Tell Me.’
Particularly, ‘The Chaser’ ranked 1st in ‘2012’s Best K-Pop’ and 3rd on ‘2010’s Best K-Pop’ selected by Billboard, a music media in the US. It only proves INFINITE’s global presence.
INFINITE’s 8th-year debut song ‘Tell Me,’ the title track of its third full-length album ‘TOP SEED,’ features relaxed performances and new challenges for the group. They proved a solid fandom and popularity for a long time, dominating all music broadcasts of the week.
Also, the group’s musicality shined in solo and unit activities. Sungkyu Kim is working on several solo albums along with Nell’s Jongwan Kim. They will show elements that fans haven’t seen in INFINITE albums before. Member Woohyun Nam showed the aspect of an ’emotional balladeer’ with a sweet tone. In addition, the two held a large solo concert, solidifying their position as vocalists rather than INFINITE’s main vocalists.
Member Dongwoo showed the appearance of an ‘all-round entertainer’ who can rap and sing simultaneously through solo activities. L (Myungsoo Kim) exuded a new charm with sincere vocals and unique musical power. Also, the sub-units INFINITE H and INFINITE F showed off their unique skills with a concept differentiated from INFINITE and presented high-quality music.
INFINITE also has the charm when it comes to concerts. Their concert has tremendous power, which many fans want to watch live. The members are performing live to match the all-live band performance. The members attract fans’ eyes and ears with their unwavering vocal skills despite their big moves and present high-quality performances.
INFINITE, which celebrated its 11th anniversary this year, marked a milestone in the music industry. Not only the group topped on music charts and solo activities, but the subunit groups, as well. Like the name ‘INFINITE,’ fans are looking forward to what music INFINITE, which always develops with limitless possibilities open, will showcase separately and together in the future.
INFINITE will gather together to celebrate their 11th debut anniversary, excluding members serving in the military. The live broadcast, in which members gather together after a long time under the name of INFINITE, can be seen on Naver V LIVE channel at 6 pm today.
