Kpop DJ and producer Hyejin Park is a rising star in the EDM scene. She will release her first full-length album ‘Before I Die,’ in Korea on September 14th. Before that, she focused the attention of ‘Pitchfork, ‘Hypebeast,’ ‘Mixmag,’ and ‘iD’ with her excellent singing and producing skills. On September 10th, she released ‘Before I Die’ globally.
Hyejin Park is a DJ and producer from Korea. She started her career as a resident DJ at Pistil, a club in Itaewon, Korea. Her EP ‘If U Want It,’ released in 2018, caught the attention of Pitchfork. The media introduce it as ‘a great work that you shouldn’t miss.’
The album received favorable reviews from ‘MixMag’ and ‘Ones To Watch’ and recognized for its musicality. In 2019, Hyejin Park performed live DJing on famous overseas music broadcasting platforms. It includes ‘Boiler Room, ‘Weather LSM,’ ‘NTS Radio.’
The DJ mix released on ‘Pitchfork,’ introduced as ‘2019 Winter Best Mix,’ continued her impressive steps as a DJ.
The EP ‘How Can I,’ released by British electronic music label ‘Ninja Tune’ in 2020, has a rating of 6.8 out of 8 on ‘Pitchfork’ and a score of 5 out of 5 on ‘NME’ magazine. With a score of 4, the b-side song ‘Like This’ became the soundtrack of the famous soccer game ‘FIFA 21.’
In addition, she is also active by releasing collaboration singles with famous singer-songwriter Blood Orange and EDM music artist Nosaj Thing.
‘Before I Die’ is the first full-length album, which she will release in three years since her debut in 2018. Pitchfork, NME, and Mixmag announced the release of her work in July, raising expectations from hip-hop and electronic enthusiasts around the world. Meanwhile, Hyejin Park is planning a North American DJ tour starting in October.
