In the 4th week of the Gaon Chart, Melomance Minseok Kim ranked on two charts with ‘Drunken Confession,’ and SMTOWN’s ‘2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS’ took first place on the album chart.
The Korea Music Contents Association, which operates the Gaon Chart, said, “In the 4th week on the Gaon Chart, Melomance Minseok Kim’s ‘Drunken Confession‘ took the first place in the digital and streaming charts, ranking on two charts. Then, SMTOWN’s ‘2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS’ topped the album chart.”
‘Drunken Confession’ is a remake of Feel’s ‘Drunken Confession,’ released in 2005. It now contains Minseok Kim’s unique sensibility in an acoustic sound. The song topped the digital charts for two weeks in a row.
SMTOWN’s winter album ‘2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS’ took first place on the album chart. It features SM artists such as Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG, SHINee, Red Velvet, NCT, and AESPA, which created a topic of discussion.
With his first drama OST, ‘Love Always Runs Away,’ Youngwoong Lim ranked first in the ringtone and coloring charts for 15 weeks in a row. Also, the song ranked on the karaoke chart for five weeks in a row, ranking on three charts.
BTS has been at the top of the Social Chart 2.0 for 45 weeks in a row. During the counting period, BTS’ My Celebs charm keywords were ‘harmonious,’ ‘popular,’ and ‘long run.’
New songs ranked within the top 100 on the digital chart in the 4th week includes TAEYEON’s ‘Can`t Control Myself’ (9th), fromis_9 ‘DM’ (57th), Wheein’s ‘My Secret’ (65), ASTRO Jinjin & Rocky ‘Just Breathe’ (77th), Yena Choi’s ‘SMILEY (Feat. BIBI) (92nd),’ and Beomjung Jang’s ‘I Will Make You Happy’ (98th).
