
Group ENHYPEN showed off its power to sweep all the Japanese Oricon monthly, weekly, and daily charts.
According to the Oricon chart released on May 12th, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jay, Niki) 2nd mini-album, ‘Border: Carnival’ rose to the top of the April monthly album chart. In addition, this album ranked No. 1 with 15,534 points on the weekly combined album chart (2021.05.03~05.09). This result is based on adding up the number of album sales, music downloads, and music streaming. ENHYPEN kept their spot for two consecutive weeks.
They also regained the number one spot on the daily album chart on May 10th. Besides, they topped the weekly album chart for two consecutive weeks. Many music fans loved ‘Border: Carnival’ even in the third week of its release. It only proves the strong influence of ENHYPEN in Japan.
ENHYPEN will launch its debut single ‘Border: Hakanai’ in Japan on July 6. After that, they will start targeting the Japanese market in earnest. Interest in ENHYPEN will surely intensify after releasing their Japanese songs. The debut single will feature a total of three songs. It includes their original Japanese song and the title track of the debut album ‘Border: Day One,’ ‘Given-Taken.’
Also, the album will feature the Japanese version of ‘Let Me In (20 CUBE)’ released in November last year.
As of now, ENHYPEN succeeded in ranking for two consecutive weeks by listing in a total of three categories on the latest Billboard chart released on May 11th (Korean time). ‘Border: Carnival’ ranked 13th in ‘World Album,’ the title song ‘Drunk-Dazed’ ranked 5th in ‘World Digital Song Sales’ and 145th in ‘Billboard Global (Excluding USA).’ Particularly, in the ‘Billboard Global (excluding the US),’ they ranked 21 places higher than the previous week.
