DJ DOC member Haneul Lee’s younger brother, Lee Hyun-bae, died at the age of 48.
According to music industry officials, such as a close friend, Hyunbae Lee was found dead at his home in Seogwipo, Jeju, on the 17th. Some media reported that he died from a heart attack that day. But, the time and cause of death are not yet known.
DJ DOC Haneul Lee and their family requested an autopsy from the police. The autopsy will take place on the 19th. DJ DOC Haneul Lee, who heard the news of his younger brother’s death, has rushed to Jeju this afternoon and met the police.
The deceased signed a contract with YG Entertainment in 2004. The following year, he made his official debut with his first album, ‘Old Rookie,’ at 45RPM, a 3-member hip-hop group.
By 2015, he released singles and albums, leaving songs such as Regi-dong, Joyful Life, and Slight Beats. The deceased, who appeared in KBS 2TV’s invincible baseball team and performed entertainment activities, won second place in the 2012 Mnet hip-hop contest program ‘Show Me the Money.’
In 2019, in JTBC ‘Sugar Man 3,’ he met with former member J Kwon Do (Jae Jin Park) after 3 years to show off the stage. The deceased and J Kwon-do, who reunited afterward, performed and worked until recently.
