
Kpop group BTS unveiled the ‘Butter’ performance following ‘Permission to Dance’ through the 2021 Global Citizen LIVE.
On September 26th (EST), ABC of the US organized a program containing a highlight show and some exclusive content of ‘2021 Global Citizen Live.’
Through this, Kpop group BTS presented a ‘Butter’ performance, not revealed in the ‘2021 Global Citizen Live’ 24-hour live streaming.
BTS introduced Seoul, Korea at the ‘2021 Global Citizen Live’ part of the Campaign to protect the global environment and eradicate poverty. Also, they performed ‘Butter’ in the background of Sungnyemun, a national treasure like ‘Permission to Dance,’ which decorated the opening of ‘2021 Global Citizen Live.’
The image of the BTS members moving freely around Sungnyemun doubled the dynamism of the ‘Butter’ performance. Particularly, BTS sang ‘Butter’ in front of the colorful lights of the building forest surrounding Sungnyemun. They spread the unique charm of Seoul to the world, ‘harmony of tradition and modernity.’
Previously, ‘2021 Global Citizen Live’ aired 24 hours a day, with artists, activists, and leaders from various fields. They prepared various contents such as performances on stages prepared in symbolic places of major cities on each continent. It includes performances in Seoul, New York, Paris, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, and Sydney.
