All members of the Kpop group BTS, who tested positive for COVID-19, have completely recovered. On January 4, BIGHIT Music, the management company, announced, “We would like to inform you that BTS members RM and Jin have made full recoveries from COVID-19, and his quarantine has concluded as of today at noon, January 4. Neither member exhibited any particular symptoms during their quarantine. Jin had a slight fever when he first began treatment at home but has since made a full recovery.”
Previously, RM returned to Korea on December 17 after completing his personal schedule and the concert in the US. RM tested positive for COVID-19 after conducting a PCR test on December 25 before his quarantine ended. Then, BTS Jin entered Korea right after the concert in the US and tested negative even after his quarantine. But, he felt sick with a cold. So, he underwent a PCR test and was tested positive for COVID-19 on December 25. As a result, the two received home treatment for ten days from December 25. On the same day, Jin posted on J-Hope’s social media account, saying, “I lost 4 kg. I have to buy some rice.”
Earlier, on December 24, BTS member Suga tested positive for COVID-19 through a PCR test he received after returning from the US. After self-isolation and home treatment, Suga was released from the quarantine after recovering on January 3. Suga also showed no symptoms during the quarantine period, and reports said that he is currently resting and recovering.
Fans felt relieved when the news that all three members who tested positive for COVID-19 had all recovered. BTS went on a long vacation after completing schedules such as the ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-LA’ concert and the ‘2021 Jingle Ball Tour’ in LA last month. As a result, the members entered Korea one after another after spending personal time in the US and other places. So, the news of the members testing positive for COVID-19 one after another made fans worried.
Mainly, fans pay attention to the condition of the members as they were about to hold a face-to-face concert, ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Seoul’ in March. This performance was the first in two years and five months since ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself,’ held at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul in October 2019. Also, BTS is under the spotlight with the news of the face-to-face concert that will take place in Korea.
Kpop group BTS also announced that they would have time to recharge through the vacation period. Then, they will focus on releasing a new album and preparing for a performance. Amid high expectations from fans worldwide, the enthusiasm for BTS’s new album and performance activities is heating up as members deliver news recovering from COVID-19.
