According to a big data analysis in May 2021, they analyzed the girl group brand reputation. They came with the result of Brave Girls at 1st place, Blackpink at 2nd place, and Oh My Girl at 3rd place.
The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation analyzed 30,596,886 big data brands measured from April 9, 2021, to May 9, 2021. It is to analyze the girl group’s brand reputation. It includes the brand reputation index, participation index, community index, media index, and communication index. Compared to the 38,956,768 big data of girl group brands in April, it decreased by 21.46%.
The brand reputation index is created through brand big data analysis. It is by finding that consumers’ online habits greatly influence brand consumption. The girl group’s brand reputation index can measure positive and negative evaluation of girl groups through media interest, consumer interest, and communication. It also included a brand monitor analysis of 100 brand reputation editors.
As of May 2021, the following groups occupied the first to 30th place. These groups are Brave Girls, Blackpink, Oh My Girl, TWICE, StayC, Red Velvet, ITZY, Gfriend, Mamamoo, WJSN, HOT ISSUE, Lovelyz, Apink, Girls’ Generation, G-Idle, Weeekly, Loona, AESPA, Dreamcatcher, Cignature, Fromis_9, DIA, EXID, LUNARSOLAR, LABOUM, ELRIS, Weki Meki, Rocket Punch, Woo!Ah!, and Momoland.
The Brave Girls (Eunji, Yujeong, Minyoung, Yuna) brand was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 3,711,562. Also, they have a participation index of 914,196, media index of 839,569, communication index of 1,324,258, and community index of 633,539. Compared to their brand reputation index of 5,363,544 in April, it decreased by 30.80%.
In second place is the group Blackpink (Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo). Blackpink brand has a brand reputation index of 3,521,993, a participation index of 232,628, a media index of 750,155, a communication index of 1,282,528, and a community index of 1,256,682. Compared to their April brand reputation index of 4,582,891, it decreased by 23.15%.
The third place is the group Oh My Girl (Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie, Arin). They have a brand reputation index of 1,920,338 with a participation index of 204,476, a media index of 310,048, a communication index of 942,818, and a community index of 462,996. Compared to April’s brand reputation index of 2,079,474, it decreased by 7.65%.
In the 4th place is TWICE (Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu). They have a brand reputation index of 1,882,766 with the participation index of 196,724, a media index of 567,841, a communication index of 727,020, and a community index of 391,181. Compared to their April’s brand reputation index of 2,029,597, it decreased by 7.23%.
The 5th place is STAYC (Sumin, Seeun, Isa, Se-Eun, J, Yoon, Sieun). They have a brand reputation index of 1,658,272 with a participation index of 335,512, a media index of 353,014, a communication index of 681,257, and a community index of 288,489. Compared to their brand reputation index of 524,655 in April, it rose to 216.07%.
“As a result of analyzing the brand reputation of the girl groups in May 2021, the Brave Girls brand ranked first,” said Changhwan Koo, director of the Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation. According to the girl group brand category, compared to 38,956,768 girl group brands in April, it decreased by 21.46%. Also, according to the girl group brand’s big data details, brand consumption decreased by 12.16%, brand issues decreased by 33.18%, brand communication decreased by 4.89%, and brand spread decreased by 32.42%.
Brave Girls held onto their spot at the top of the list with a brand reputation index of 3,711,562 for May 2021. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included ‘ad,’ ‘Rollin,’ and ‘gift to fans.’ While their highest-ranking related terms included ‘release,’ ‘advertise,’ and ‘model.’ In the analysis of the positive and negative ratio of the Brave Girls brand, the positive ratio was 80.41%. In the detailed analysis of the Brave Girls brand, brand consumption decreased by 17.44%, brand issues decreased by 33.06%, and brand communication decreased by 5.97%, and the brand spread decreased by 60.25%.”
The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation measures the reputation index of Korean brands every month. They also announce the amount of change in the brand reputation index. The girl group brand reputation index is based on the analysis of brand big data from April 9, 2021, to May 9, 2021.
