Kpop group BLACKPINK member Lisa’s solo song ‘MONEY’ has been on the rise for two weeks in a row on major global charts.
According to the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 released on October 15 (UK time), Lisa’s ‘MONEY’ ranked 59th.
‘MONEY,’ which first entered this chart last week at #81, jumped 22 places in the ranking even after a month had passed since the song’s release. So, she is demonstrating phenomenal popularity.
It is also the first time that a K-pop female solo artist’s song has been listed on the UK’s Official Singles Top 100, one of the world’s two largest pop charts along with the US Billboard, for two weeks in a row. This is a remarkable achievement that Lisa accomplished without any local activities.
The popularity of the title song ‘LALISA’ was properly inherited. ‘LALISA’ ranked #68 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 in the first week of the album’s release. It was a significant step in the mainstream pop market as a hip-hop/rap genre song by a female K-pop solo artist.
‘MONEY’ is ranking on major charts around the world amid favorable reviews from global music fans. She became the first female K-pop singer to top the US Billboard’s ‘Rap Digital Song Sales Chart.’
Also, on the Spotify Global Chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform, Lisa has steadily risen to 7th place.
Lisa’s performance on YouTube is also outstanding. The exclusive performance video of ‘MONEY’ surpassed 100 million views in just a week, even though it is not an official music video. The entire choreography video climbed to the top of the worldwide trending video. It surpassed 10 million views in one day and is approaching 20 million views.
With this momentum, Lisa will participate in DJ Snake’s new single ‘SG,’ which will be out on October 22 (EST). Pop stars Ozuna and Megan Thee Stallion also joined, so there is a lot of interest in their collaboration.
