The idol group Ateez (consist Hong Joong Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San Mingi, Wooyoung, Jongho) revealed their thoughts on appearing on ‘Mnet’s’ ‘Kingdom’.
ATEEZ held an online comeback showcase at 4 pm on the 2nd of March. They released their 6th mini-album entitled ‘ZERO: FEVER Part.2’ at 6 pm on the 1st.
They said, “Before our debut, the producer said, ‘Let’s make music that we can do well. It seems that we could better understand our own concept, expression, and worldview while meeting with many people. I am grateful that the fans understand well.”
ATEEZ later explained, “It’s a song that contains our own passion, so we selected it as the title song.”
“The worldview is not limited to a few albums. It’s about continuing the journey for episode,” they said. “It seems like it takes about a year to prepare music for storytelling that connects with people organically.”
Regarding the appearance on ‘Mnet’s ‘Kingdom,’ ATEEZ said, “We have longed to work with our seniors TVXQ since childhood. It is an honor to be together with them on the same program. Some things are tense to show, but we want to show our own colors through ‘Mnet’s ‘Kingdom.'”
A total of seven songs are included in ‘Zero: Fever Part 2’, which contains a variety of charms. The title song ‘I’m The One’, stands out with the rhythm of EDM, complete with ATEEZ’s unique style through their vocals that are full of energy.
In addition to the album, the intense hip-hop number ‘The Leaders’ has a passionate beat, and ‘Time Of Love’ as well as ‘Take Me Home’, are R&B tracks with the harmony of the members and a funky rhythm. They even challenged the retro disco genre. Leader Hong Joong participated in all of the lyrics, composition, and arrangement.
ATEEZ, which has been attracting attention from the ‘Treasure’ series which has a unique theme of sailing in search of treasure. They broke the record last year and started a new series called ‘Fever’.
The group’s previous album ‘ZERO: FEVER Part.1’ tells the story of young people who face a feverish moment of encountering reality and living with their cool hearts, but in ‘Zero: Fever Part 2’, it contains the story of ATEEZ who burn the embers that were fading all over the world.
ATEEZ is continuing its global strides by surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify recently and ranking as the 5th most tweeted musician on Twitter in the United States.
