April agency, DSP Media refuted the claims of Lee Hyunjoo.
On the 18th, DSP Media announced an official statement regarding Lee Hyunjoo’s position. It is a “one-sided and distorted argument completely different from objective facts.”
DSP Media said, “After five years of leaving April, Lee Hyunjoo and her close associates have already suffered. They suffered unbearable mental pain and losses due to irresponsible actions, committed against April members and management companies.”
The agency said, “The victims were also desperate to reveal the truth and resolve their resentment. But, it only repeats extremely subjective and irresponsible arguments. Still, we did not resolve the problem. So, we decided to reveal the objective truth through an investigation by a judicial institution. We will reveal all the truth and the resentment of the members through the ongoing legal process.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyunjoo directly revealed that the members had harassed her for about three years from 2014. During her preparation for her April debut until 2016, when she left the group. She argued that “for three years, I had to constantly suffer from assault, abuse, harassment, abusive language, and personal attacks. I had to stand by and take no action even though I knew the facts about the company.”

This is our position regarding Lee Hyunjoo’s social media post today.
Five years after leaving April, Lee Hyunjoo and her aides have been struggling for a long period of time due to the irresponsible actions against the members and the agency, which they have worked for a long time. The members and the company have already suffered mental pain that is difficult to bear. Also, we suffered tangible and intangible losses.
The victims were also desperate to reveal the truth and resolve their resentment. But, they only reiterate the extremely subjective and irresponsible arguments. Still, we can’t resolve the problem. We can’t reveal the objective truth through an impartial and rigorous investigation by a judicial institution.
We will reveal all the truths and resentment of the members through ongoing legal proceedings.
